Description:

I was biking East along Dundas Street just before the Yonge intersection on the right of traffic next to the curb. Just as I came up level with a taxi the passenger opened the back right door directly into my path. My front tire hit the door and I went flying about 7 feet or more and landed painfully on the sidewalk and on my bike. Injuries: scrapes, very painful bruising all over my legs and sore muscles. Bike damage: break line broken, front wheel out of alignment and bent. Cabbie and passenger stayed to help and exchange information. I did seek medical care later.
